Lincoln Family’s Heartfelt Plea in Search for Missing Sailor

Title: Lincoln Family’s Heartfelt Plea in Search for Missing Sailor

James “Jemsie” Nunan, originally from Reading but with strong family ties to Lincoln, disappeared during a solo sailing expedition around the world. The family, led by his half-sister Nikita Goddard, a Lincoln resident, has been relentlessly carrying out search operations for the missing sailor who mysteriously vanished on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria in late August. The search has deeply affected the family, both emotionally and physically.

Nunan’s boat was found floating aimlessly 50 miles off the coast; however, there has been no sight of Nunan himself, who was 34 years old at the time of his disappearance. “Everyone is holding onto the hope that he’s still alive,” expressed Mrs Goddard. The family is appealing for anyone with information to step forward to assist their search, which is underway both on-site in Spain and from their home in Lincoln.

In an effort to reconstruct Nunan’s last known activities, Mrs Goddard has been requesting CCTV footage and interacting with locals and tourists who might have encountered him. His cherished dog, Thumbelina, was discovered safe on the boat and a foster carer has since been looking after her, whilst preparations are being made for her safe return to the UK.

Remaining hopeful and resolved, the Lincoln family continues to rally for more support in the quest to locate their missing family member.
