Young Skegness Girl Honoured for Bravery in Emergency Situation

Title: Young Skegness Girl Celebrated for Heroic Response in Critical Situation

Evalyn, an eight-year-old from Wainfleet, Skegness, has been celebrated for a remarkable act of bravery. Her quick thinking and composed reaction when her mother, Lynette, endured a seizure resulted in timely medical attention. Evalyn appropriately contacted 999 and effectively liaised with the emergency services, ensuring her mother was swiftly attended to. The East Midlands Ambulance Service has recognised this exemplar act with an award.

Sam Priestly, the call operator from the emergency service who guided Evalyn during the procedure, praised her efforts: “Evalyn did admirably. She retained her composure and provided us with all the essential data.”

Lynette has shown deep appreciation for her daughter’s calm response in difficult circumstances, seeing it more as an instinct to assist than an act of courage. Evalyn herself credits her elder sister for teaching her what to do in such a situation. This instance highlights the significance of family support and readiness.

Evalyn’s commendable actions underline the essentiality of educating children on emergency protocols crucial in domestic environments.
