Lincolnshire Art Project Commemorates 80th Anniversary of WWII’s End

A fresh art scheme in Lincoln is poised to pay tribute to the 80th anniversary of the cessation of World War Two, welcoming contributions from members of the public. The project, dubbed ‘Our Freedom: Then and Now’, will exhibit a grand digital mosaic consisting of more than 5,000 images shared by inhabitants all over Lincolnshire. The organisers plan for the artwork to be vivified through sound, light, and projection, and additionally reproduced on an aluminium base to pay homage to the county’s rich aviation history.
