Average Speed Cameras Approved for A52 Route to Enhance Road Safety

Plans have been approved to install average speed cameras on the A52 route between Skegness and Wainfleet in an effort to improve road safety. The initiative was given the go-ahead following an exhaustive investigation from Lincolnshire County Council, in collaboration with the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership. The route is a vital transportation artery used by locals and visitors alike.

The initiatives planned extend beyond the introduction of speed cameras. Further enhancements to road safety will include improvements to road signs and road markings. Michael Cheyne, who is the executive board member for highways in the council, reiterated the importance of improving road safety. Cheyne stated, ‘Every serious and fatal accident is tragic, which is why we are determined to make our roads as safe as they can possibly be.’
