Residents and visitors have been advised by the Bomber County Gateway Trust not to launch drones from the site of the newly installed Lancaster bomber sculpture in Norton Disney. This steel structure, a tribute to the brave RAF crews of World War Two, is prominently located next to the A46, between Newark and Lincoln. Despite the fact that drone flight over the site is technically legal, the Trust stresses that the actual launching of drones from there is prohibited. As the site remains closed due to ongoing construction, the Trust has arranged three special viewing days in October. These days offer an opportunity to appreciate this significant recognition of Lincolnshire’s aviation past.
