Teen Arrested Over Series of Hit-and-Runs Across Lincolnshire

A 13-year-old boy is now in custody following a series of incidents in which three cyclists and an elderly pedestrian were reportedly hit by a vehicle at various locations throughout Lincolnshire. The linked incidents took place between 06:44 and 10:04 BST on Friday, spanning Boston, Maltby Le Marsh, Alford, and Calceby. Multiple charges have been brought against the young suspect, including causing serious injury through dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit due to drugs, to name a few. Sgt Billy Spence from Lincolnshire Police shared his concerns about the unusual nature of these incidents, which will have likely caused unease among locals.

The police are currently investigating the possible involvement of a black Range Rover in these incidents. The first incident was reported on Priory Road, Boston, where a male cyclist was severely injured. Shortly afterwards, another male cyclist was hit in Maltby Le Marsh. The unrest continued in Alford, where an elderly man sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle. The last reported incident happened on Bluestone Heath Road, Calceby, and also involved a cyclist. The vehicle failed to stop in all the incidents.

Sgt Spence has requested the public to avoid speculation whilst investigations are ongoing, with the Lincolnshire Police maintaining an open-minded approach to the chain of incidents. The police are urging for any public submissions of footage or information that could assist in their inquiries.
