Man Pleads Not Guilty to Murder of Young Girl in Boston

A 26-year-old man, Deividas Skebas, has entered a plea of not guilty in connection with the fatal stabbing of nine-year-old Lilia Valutyte in Boston, Lincolnshire in 2022. The case was heard at Lincoln Crown Court, where Skebas made his appearance through a video link. Even though he pleaded not guilty to the murder charge, his defence indicated willingness to plead guilty to a lesser charge of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. The case will progress with another scheduled hearing on 5 December, and depending on the decision of the prosecution, a potential trial could take place on 27 January.
