Plans to Convert Unused Garages into Council Homes in Lincolnshire District

The District Council has shared its intent to explore the conversion of underused garages into much-needed council homes. Within the district, only 435 out of the 830 council-owned garages are presently rented. To address housing shortage, this agenda intends to optimise the usage of indispensable council-owned estates. The council is in the process of determining the feasibility of converting these spaces to suit the requirements of the local populace, representing a creative approach to the prevalent desire for cost-effective housing within the area.
