The long-awaited Lincoln Sausage Festival is poised for a vibrant return to Lincoln Castle this weekend. The festival not only celebrates the much-loved local treat but also serves to strengthen global connections. Scheduled for Saturday, from 10:00 BST to 17:00 BST, the event guarantees a day packed with family-friendly entertainment, cooking demonstrations, and an array of stalls featuring a range of traditional and novel sausage flavours.
Event organiser Mark Brewer, of the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, underscored that the festival is not merely a gastronomic event. He explained, ‘It’s a festivity that honours community, tradition, and the remarkable skills of our local suppliers.’
Adding a global element, the festival will welcome a new figure, Mr Frank Furter, a representative from Lincoln’s twin city of Neustadt in Germany. This emphasises the long-standing links between the two cities.
