New Memory Clinic in Lincoln Aims to Reduce Wait Times

Title: Lincoln’s New Memory Clinic to Tackle Long Waiting Lists

In an effort to combat lengthier-than-usual waiting times for memory assessments, a unique, consolidated memory assessment clinic has been established at the Lincoln Community Diagnostic Centre on Beevor Street. This project forms part of a year-long, NHS-backed trial and is operational every Saturday. It offers patients the advantage of undertaking all required diagnostic tests, obtaining a diagnosis, and exploring treatment options all in one appointment. Georgina Ellis, who oversees the memory assessment and management service at Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, voiced her confidence in the initiative. She expressed, ‘The launch of this trial in Lincoln enables us to significantly reconsider the manner in which memory evaluations are executed.’
