Spectacular Harvest Moon Captivates Lincolnshire Skies

Residents of Lincolnshire were privileged to witness a spectacular display as the Harvest Moon lit up the skies this October, marking its latest manifestation in over three and a half decades. Those in Lincoln and nearby locations had the ideal chance to observe this infrequent phenomenon, as the full Moon appeared exceptionally bright and large – a spectacle unfathomable since 2024. Often referred to as the Hunter’s Moon, it ascended at more or less 18:20 GMT on 7th October, casting a remarkable illumination across the night sky. This supermoon, set to be the first in a series of three consecutive ones forecasted for 2025, brought joy to local astronomy aficionados and incidental onlookers alike, painting a breathtaking panorama of nature’s magnificence across the county.
