Grimsby Families Flee Homes After Cars Set Alight in Suspected Arson

Residents of Barmouth Drive in Grimsby faced a terrifying night as five cars were set on fire shortly after midnight, leading to the evacuation of several families from their homes. Among the households affected were Shannon Rex, her partner Luke Deekens, and their two young children. The family lost two vehicles in the fire. A CCTV footage showed two individuals wearing masks pouring liquid on the cars before igniting them. Thankfully, the incident did not result in any injuries. Humberside Police are currently investigating the incident as a possible case of arson. Although firefighters were able to put out the fire, the community has been left in a state of shock and fear due to the event’s damage and the potential for it to happen again.
