East Marsh United, a community group based in Grimsby, has taken the initiative to help families in North East Lincolnshire save on Halloween costs. They have implemented a fancy dress hire scheme, aiming to alleviate financial pressure associated with trick or treating. Each outfit can be rented for a modest £3, assuring affordability for everyone.
The process involves receiving the borrowed outfits back, cleaning them thoroughly, and preparing them for future hiring. The service is accessible every Tuesday between 13:00 to 15:00 BST at Freeman Street Market.
Sue Baker, the community outreach leader at East Marsh United, underscored the significance of this initiative. According to her, their main objective is to help the local community. If a Halloween costume can be rented for £3 instead of £20, it makes the celebration more feasible for everyone.
