A new interactive scientific and technological centre, Discover@20-21, is preparing for its grand opening in Scunthorpe later this month, according to information provided by North Lincolnshire Council. Housed within the Visual Arts Centre in Church Square, this venture seeks to spark the imagination and interest of the upcoming generation of artists, inventors, scientists and engineers.
Rob Waltham, the leader of the Council, spoke of it as an interactive facility where children can investigate the role that creativity and innovation play within the world that surrounds them. Set within the historic past St John’s Church, the centre is set to receive its initial visitors on the 30th of October and is scheduled to be open to the public from Tuesdays through to Saturdays, between the hours of 10:00 and 16:00.
