A teenager’s irresponsible driving at speeds of 130mph led to a severe collision with a car dealership in Scunthorpe, gravely injuring a passenger, according to reports from Grimsby Crown Court. The accident occurred at Drayton Motors on Mannaberg Way, where the driver, Kevin Miko, aged 19, lost control and careened into the showroom window. It was disclosed that Miko, who had acquired the high-performance Audi from Facebook Marketplace, was found to be above the legal limit for cannabis consumption. Additionally, he lacked the necessary insurance, a driving licence, and a valid MOT. His behaviour resulted in a passenger sustaining critical injuries, these included substantial damage to the lung and spleen which necessitated emergency surgery and an extended stay in hospital. Miko recieved a sentence of 32 months imprisonment and a two-year ban from driving.
