A man from North Tyneside has received a three-year prison sentence after being convicted of voyeurism and additional offences at Butlin’s resort in Skegness. Mark Simpson, aged 51, confessed to filming individuals while they were changing at the renowned Lincolnshire holiday spot on multiple occasions. His crimes further include the possession and distribution of illicit images of children. Lincolnshire Police disclosed that these offences took place over a period from 2017 to 2023. Simpson was detained in April 2023 following a tip-off from a guest who noticed dubious activities. The ensuing investigation led to the discovery of numerous voyeuristic videos and inappropriate images on Simpson’s phone, as well as a concealed app used for sharing illegal material. PC Andy Taylor, in charge of the case, expressed his hope that the sentence would provide some justice to the victims and showed gratitude to those who contributed to the investigation.
