A man, Viktors Zeglovs, aged 34, has been charged with the murder of another man, Vadims Zmicerevskis, aged 45, in Spalding, and will face trial at Lincoln Crown Court. Zeglovs has denied his involvement in the death of Mr Zmicerevskis, who lost his life after a disturbance at the crossroads of Green Lane and St Thomas’ Road in Spalding on 11 November of the previous year. In addition to the murder charge, Zeglovs has also been accused of a second count of manslaughter related to the illegal killing of Mr Zmicerevskis. The trial, set to be overseen by Judge Sjolin Knight, is due to begin on 24 November and is anticipated to run for a total of seven days. At present, Zeglovs remains in detention awaiting the start of the trial.
