David Wiatrowksi, from Boston, has received a prison sentence of five years and eight months after a volatile incident with police. This involved a petrol bomb and a imitation firearm. The dramatic event occurred in Boston on New Year’s Day. Wiatrowski, aged 37, is reported to have smashed the windowpanes of an Aldi store before brandishing the imitation weapon at officers. During his trial at Lincoln Crown Court, he was found guilty of intending to cause an explosion, which could have endangered lives. He also pleaded guilty to possession of an imitation firearm with the intent to cause fear, affray, and causing criminal damage. Wiatrowski, a resident of Bradford Road, confessed to feeling ‘bored of life’ and ‘depressed’ at the time of the incident.
