Legendary Drummer Gilson Lavis Passes Away in Lincolnshire

The community of Lincolnshire mourns the loss of esteemed drummer Gilson Lavis, famed for his work with Squeeze and Jools Holland’s Rhythm and Blues Orchestra. Lavis passed away at 74 in his home located in Pinchbeck, near Spalding. His illustrious career, spanning several decades, featured collaborations with music icons such as Dolly Parton and BB King. Jools Holland, Lavis’s long-time collaborator, expressed his sadness at the news and extended his condolences to Lavis’s wife, Nikki, and son, Gilson.
