Outdoor clothing company, Mountain Warehouse, is planning to open a new branch in the previously empty House of Fraser building, located on Lincoln’s High Street. The building has been vacant since May this year. This particular venture is seen as a significant revival of the area, especially after the failure of a plan to convert the site into a 150-bed hotel in 2019. The hotel project was abandoned due to the increase in construction costs caused by the pandemic. The new Mountain Warehouse store is already being refurbished, including a new dark green paint job, in line with the company’s brand identity.
