Lincoln City’s goalkeeper, Zach Jeacock, has pledged his loyalty to the club by agreeing to a new three-year deal with the League One team. Having joined the Imps in the summer of 2024 after leaving Birmingham City, the 24-year-old’s standout performances have warranted him an extended tenure at the LNER Stadium lasting until 2029. Intriguingly, the club retains the choice to lengthen his contract for another year. Jeacock has stepped onto the pitch 21 times for the Imps in a multitude of competitions, predominantly in cup games this season. However, he ascended to prominence in the previous season, turning out in 11 league matches when George Wickens, the first-choice goalkeeper, was out of action due to injury. Lincoln’s director of football, Jez George, expressed faith in Jeacock’s abilities. George emphasised that the new deal not only generates immediate competition for the main goalkeeper role, but also ensures the club’s goalkeeping prospects in the future. This story was initially reported by the BBC, and was later adapted by The Lincoln Post.
