Exciting plans are in process for Cleethorpes’ Pier Gardens, with proposals recently submitted to the North East Lincolnshire Council for a fresh children’s play area. This follows as part of a substantial £18.4 million rejuvenation scheme purposed at bringing new life to the well-loved coastal town. The proposed play area, featuring wooden towers linked by bridges and chain walkways, is aimed at replacing the presently unused crazy golf course, notorious for its sub-standard paving and seating. The visionaries behind this project, WSP UK Limited, illustrated their blueprint for the site’s makeover which aspires to deliver fresh excitement and pleasure for both the local inhabitants and tourists.
