A well-known Lincoln nightclub named Level on Silver Street is preparing for a significant change. The club will soon cease operations as the existing premises are slated to be converted into student housing. As per the proposed changes, two additional storeys will be added to the building. This will effectively create lodging space for up to 79 students.
Furthermore, the venue’s transformation will also necessitate the relocation of the Creative College. This educational institution currently occupies the top floor of the building. Following the planned renovations, the college, which provides training in areas such as music, media, games, and computing, will move to the ground floor.
According to a planning application submitted by JSO Holdings Ltd, the changing state of the nightclub is attributed to a decreasing number of events. Whilst the venue has been a popular party location for many years, events, as of late, have been primarily confined to weekends due to diminished demand.
