Thousands of Santas Sprint Through Lincoln’s Historic Streets for Charity

In a festive spectacle, two thousand individuals dressed in Father Christmas outfits took part in the annual Lincoln Santa Fun Run. Celebrating its 20th year, the run started at Castle Square and finished by the distinguished Lincoln Cathedral. Families and groups of friends happily finished one or two circuits around a 2km route in the city’s cultural quarter. Their efforts were aimed at gathering funds for various local charities, including Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance and Lincolnshire Age UK. Ray Peters from the Rotary Club of Lincoln Colonia, the organiser of the event, remarked on the expansion of the event: ‘Initially, we aimed for 250 participants. The current turnout is highly satisfying for us.’
