A troubling event occurred at the Spalding Travelodge, resulting in two individuals, Leanne Thornton, 42, of Low Gate, Gosberton, and Danny Lodge, 24, of Bishop’s Way, London, who now await sentencing early next year. The pair was detained in connection to an assault on the 24th of June at the Springfields Outlet Centre. The police were summoned to manage the situation, where a man was assaulted, and went on to require hospital care. Thankfully, the victim’s injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening or foreseeably life-altering, as further asserted by the Lincolnshire Police. Thornton and Lodge have both conceded to their roles in the assault and have been remanded in custody until their sentencing, which is set for 12 January.
