Title: High Winds Cause Lorry Accident, Complicating Dream Relocation for a Gran
A cherished move to Hornsea was thrown into chaos for a grandmother when the removal lorry she was utilising ended up overturned on the A15 near Caenby Corner, in Lincolnshire. The former Hampshire resident, Janet Hall, was en route to her dream coastal residence in Yorkshire when a powerful gust of wind toppled the vehicle, scattering her personal effects. Lincolnshire Police, partnering with a contractor, concluded it was infeasible to securely right the lorry at the scene. The alternative solution involved unloading the disrupted goods and shipping them to a depot.
Unfortunately, Ms Hall was left with a number of damaged items amongst her belongings, including deeply sentimental objects such as the ashes of her late husband. Despite the unfortunate turn of events, the local community in Hornsea has stepped forth in support, making donations of furniture to aid Ms Hall. Anita Breary, Ms Hall’s daughter, expressed her appreciation for the show of goodwill, and affirmed they were determined to make the most of the situation for her mother’s sake.
