The Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses following a suspected stabbing incident on Sheffield Street, Scunthorpe. The incident resulted in a 32-year-old man sustaining serious back injuries and requiring hospitalisation, reported to have occurred at 22:10 GMT on Friday. In relation to the incident, another 32-year-old man and a woman, aged 42, have been detained on suspicion of committing intentional grievous bodily harm, and are presently in custody. Detective Inspector Jayne Coutts has reassured local residents by suggesting that the incident was an isolated one involving individuals acquainted with each other.
