Wildlife enthusiasts and avid photographers have been descending in droves on Donna Nook Nature Reserve on the coast of Lincolnshire to observe the delightful spectacle of grey seal pups. The reserve, situated near Louth, recorded an impressive birth rate of 1,924 pups this season, an increase of 274 compared to the previous year, which observed a notable decrease. The birthing season generally spans from October to December, attracting countless visitors keen to photograph these charming, wide-eyed, and fluffy pups. According to a recent report by Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, all adult seals have re-entered the sea, with twelve pups still visible from the specially demarcated viewing area.
