Lincolnshire County Council Sets March Start for £200m North Hykeham Relief Road

The long-awaited commencement of the £200m North Hykeham relief road construction, set to connect the A46 Pennells roundabout with the Lincoln Eastern Bypass, might begin in March. A request for approval of the final project details has been submitted by Lincolnshire County Council to the government, a step that prepares the way for the construction. The road project, which is expected to take approximately three years, has an objective of enhancing traffic flow and connectivity in the area. The council’s executive, in a recent meeting, agreed to issue an official instruction to the contractor, Balfour Beatty. This instruction, however, is subject to the Department for Transport’s final approval.
