Butlin’s Skegness, a pivotal holiday destination in the UK since 1936, plans to employ 100 new staff members. The recruitment drive is due to commence with a family-friendly recruitment day on 15 January. The event will offer applicants a chance to familiarise themselves with an array of jobs, such as ‘team member plus’ posts across various departments, bar personnel, chefs, and lifeguards. In order to facilitate interaction with current employees, the resort will entertain applicants’ children during the event. Andrew Leivers, the resort’s director, stressed that the open day would showcase the range of jobs on offer and celebrate Butlin’s 90-year heritage. He also highlighted the resort’s continued commitment to providing guests with unforgettable experiences, reflective of its distinctive culture and values. The Skegness site, famous for its Redcoats – some of whom eventually became television stars – also occupies a special place in music history. It was here that Ringo Starr famously received his invitation to become part of The Beatles while he was performing in Skegness in 1962.
