A Week of Community Spirit and Endeavours in Lincolnshire

In an impressive week filled with communal zeal and an unwavering display of local aptitude, Lincolnshire has certainly sparkled. Stretching from the lively thoroughfares of Boston to the serene allure of our most picturesque villages, there’s been ample to applaud.

The launch of Boston’s Community RePaint Store stands out as an example. This initiative supports local artistry and simultaneously takes steps towards waste reduction. In another part of the area, Grantham has been immersing itself in its history, encouraging inhabitants to recount memories of the Thatcher era for a future film festival.

Attention also turned towards the health and wellbeing of our local populace with Scunthorpe conducting a complimentary health event. This offered valuable advice on healthier lifestyle choices. Concurrently, Scunthorpe’s very own Gardeners’ World presenter, Adam Frost, narrated his inspiring story of surmounting dyslexia, serving as a reminder of the impact of endurance.

In terms of entertainment, the film industry – for a portion of the week – made Lincolnshire its home. Our aesthetically pleasing villages became the setting for an exciting new film. The local community was heavily involved, with roles both on screen and behind the scenes.
