Animal Therapy Brings Festive Cheer to North Lincolnshire Care Home

Inhabitants at a care home in North Lincolnshire recently received a delightful surprise in the form of a visit from an assortment of therapy animals. The care home residents were overjoyed at the unexpected, yet warmly welcomed visit, bringing a dose of festive cheer along.

The visit included quite a number of wonderful creatures, each contributing to the unique encounter. Notably, the lovely owls entranced all present with their mesmerising beauty. One of the residents, absolutely delighted by the experience, said, “I never anticipated I would be spending my day in the lounge, with an owl virtually inches away from me.”

This activity was part of a targeted initiative to improve the mental health and general well-being of senior members of our community. What was witnessed, yet again, was the undeniable therapeutic effect animals can have. They have a knack for providing comfort and happiness, especially during the holiday season, when it is mostly needed.
