In the tranquil town of Bourne, situated in South Lincolnshire, a legacy was created that would permanently influence the world of Formula One racing. Raymond Mays laid the foundations for this in 1950 when he founded BRM (British Racing Motors), thereby beginning a notable chapter in motorsport history. BRM gained prominence by becoming the pioneering all-British team to secure both the Formula One drivers’ and constructors’ titles in 1962, under the leadership of the iconic Graham Hill.
