Celebrate the Summer Solstice 2025 in Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is gearing up for a series of events this Saturday in celebration of the summer solstice. Signifying the official onset of summer and the longest day of the year, the solstice takes place at 03:42 BST on 21 June. For many people, this day has profound spiritual implications and locals in Lincolnshire engage in a diverse range of celebratory activities.

In Lincoln’s Arboretum, a family-friendly picnic will take place from 12:00 to 16:00. Complete with live music and storytelling sessions for children, guests are urged to bring their own blankets and spend a relaxing day in one of Lincoln’s most attractive parks.

For early risers who favour a vigorous start to their morning, a sunrise yoga session is planned in the Lincolnshire Wolds near Tealby. Participants are welcome to gather at 04:00 to usher in the sunrise with a sequence of gentle yoga positions to revitalise the body and quieten the mind.

Meanwhile, the coastal town of Skegness will be offering a beach meditation session at 05:00, providing a tranquil way to welcome the new season. Those attending are asked to bring along a mat or towel to participate in the group meditation led by local instructors.

These events provide an excellent chance to engage with nature and the local community, wholeheartedly welcoming the start of summer in Lincolnshire’s heartland.
