Cleethorpes Coastguard Issues Safety Warning Over Wave-Dodging

Cleethorpes Coastguard responded on Thursday evening to a situation involving two adolescents partaking in the perilous activity of wave-dodging. The Coastguard received calls at 21:38 GMT regarding two individuals, a 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old girl situated on the slipway at Cleethorpes’ North Promenade. Once a thorough search was conducted, the two teenagers were located, safe on solid ground. Highlighting the inherent dangers of such activities, the Coastguard urged local residents as well as visitors never to jeopardize their own lives, or others’ by dodging waves or for the mere purpose of taking photos.
