Deacon Blue and OMD Set to Perform at Lincoln Castle Next Summer

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (OMD) and Deacon Blue are confirmed to perform at Lincoln Castle as part of an exciting series of concerts taking place next year. OMD will officially commence their Summer of Hits tour at the castle on 11th June, with special guests Peter Hook and The Light, and Andrew Cushin. Later in the same month, Deacon Blue, supported by the Lightning Seeds, will take to the stage on 26th June.

Mark Harrison from Cuffe & Taylor, the promoters spearheading the event, is optimistic about the new additions to their concert line-up and anticipates further announcements. OMD, renowned for their classic tracks including ‘Enola Gay’ and ‘If You Leave’, have cultivated a career spanning over forty years that is brimming with numerous hits. In the latter part of June, Deacon Blue, whose notable songs include ‘Chocolate Girl’ and ‘Fergus Sings The Blues’, will make their headline performance.

This series of concerts is the result of a collaborative venture between Lincolnshire County Council and Cuffe & Taylor, the goal being to attract leading artists to perform at this historically important venue. The line-up also features performances by Tom Grennan, Billy Ocean, DJ Pete Tong, and David Gray. Moreover, after their 2024 sell-out performance, British pop legends Madness will make a comeback. Fans eager to secure tickets can do so from 10:00 GMT on 7th November.
