Acclaimed pop artist Ella Henderson is making her way back to her hometown with a much-awaited show at the Meridian Showground in Cleethorpes. Originally from Tetney, Henderson rose to stardom through ITV’s The X Factor and is preparing to perform in her hometown for the first time in over ten years on Friday, the 13th of June. In a chat with BBC Radio Lincolnshire, Henderson articulated her delight and compared her preparations to ‘performing for royalty’.
Promising ‘a few surprises’, the show has already sold out, mirroring the extensive local support for the singer-songwriter. ‘It’s going to be an uncanny experience seeing so many familiar faces,’ Henderson discussed, commenting that the community’s passion has been staggering.
Beneath her musical commitments, Henderson is eager to savor some ‘proper fish and chips’ and spend quality time in North East Lincolnshire. She further disclosed about her engagement to fellow Lincolnshire local and past professional swimmer Jack Burnell, though there are no discussions about a wedding date yet.
