Former Bourne Grammar School Teacher Banned for Misconduct Despite Acquittal

Adam Binns, previously of Bourne Grammar School, has been prohibited from continuing in the teaching profession as per the decision of a professional conduct panel. Despite Mr Binns being cleared of charges of sexually assaulting two girls at Lincoln Crown Court in 2021, the panel articulated that his activities were suggestive of improper professional behaviour, based on the balance of evidence. Consequently, Marc Cavey of the Teacher Regulation Agency has enforced an indefinite ban, ensuring Mr Binns is barred from returning to teaching.
