Freddie Draper Reflects on Challenging Season with Lincoln City

Freddie Draper, the forward for Lincoln City, has labelled the previous season as the most instructive period of his career, in the aftermath of his goal in the Imps’ 3-1 triumph over Harrogate Town in the Carabao Cup. The 21-year-old player found the back of net for the first time since February, and opened up about his preceding 12-game goal-less run in a conversation with BBC Radio Lincolnshire.

Draper conceded that after his productive spell at Walsall, where he amassed 10 goals in 22 games, his performance took a nosedive on his return to Lincoln. Despite the success at Walsall, his tally reduced significantly at Lincoln, where he managed to net only four times in 37 league games.

Looking back at his path, Draper gave audiences a peek into how he is preparing for the upcoming season, highlighting the necessity of well-timed breaks and consistent fitness schedules. In a bid to avoid the pitfalls of the previous year, Draper is intent on focused improvement his gameplay. His sole aim being a successful season ahead with Lincoln City.
