Grantham resident jailed for repeated shoplifting offences

Luke Compton, a resident of Grantham, has been handed a prison sentence following multiple violations of a ban that stopped him from visiting local shops. Compton was convicted of theft where he stole a multitude of items such as chocolate, wine, Lego, and clothes, the total value of which ran into hundreds of pounds. In spite of a court-provided order limiting his allowance to enter shops within Grantham, he kept committing offences, a factor that eventually led to his imprisonment.
