Grantham’s New Skatepark Opens Just in Time for Festive Fun

Wyndham Park, Grantham, is now home to a new skatepark, which has partially opened just in time for the Christmas period, providing an early festive treat to local young skateboarding enthusiasts. The project was initiated after 12-year-old Zak implored his local councillor about the lack of entertaining activities in the town, paving the way for the construction of a flat bank, a quarter pipe, and a half pipe.

This £125,000 development officially commenced its ‘soft opening’ on Friday as announced by the South Kesteven District Council. The contractors are scheduled to revisit the site in the new year to finish the installation of the remaining features, ensuring the skatepark is fully operational for use.
