Lincoln City bring in Deji Elerewe from Bromley on long-term deal
Lincoln City have moved to strengthen their promotion push by signing centre-half Deji Elerewe from Bromley for an undisclosed fee. The 22-year-old defender has put pen to paper on a contract running until the summer of 2029, with the club holding an option for an additional year. Elerewe arrives at the LNER Stadium after making 23 appearances in all competitions for League Two leaders Bromley this season, scoring four goals. City sporting director Jez George said the Imps were impressed by the youngster’s physical qualities and attitude. “Deji has outstanding physical attributes, an outstanding mentality and demonstrates all the behaviours that we value,” George told the club website. “We are really excited that we've convinced him that we are the right club for the next steps in his career as Deji has huge potential and a really high ceiling.” The signing comes with Lincoln sitting second in League One, six points clear in the automatic promotion places, as the Imps look to keep momentum going in front of home supporters in Lincoln and across the county.
