Lincoln City bring in Sheffield United youngster Ryan One on loan for promotion push
Lincoln City have added fresh firepower to their League One promotion bid by signing Scotland Under-21 forward Ryan One on loan from Sheffield United until the end of the season. The 19-year-old arrives at the LNER Stadium looking for regular minutes after opportunities at Bramall Lane have been limited. One has made 22 appearances in all competitions for the Blades since joining from Hamilton Academical in September 2023, including a Premier League debut the following month. This season he has featured seven times, but has not played since November, and the move to Lincoln offers the chance to build momentum in the closing months of the campaign. The Imps are understood to have beaten off competition from fellow League One sides for his signature, with Rotherham United among those reportedly interested. City sporting director Jez George said the teenager’s "pace, power and physicality" will add to Lincoln’s attacking options as the club targets a place in the Championship. “He is coming on loan to make a real impact, and we believe he has all the attributes we value to do that,” George said on the club website.
