Lincoln City extend Adam Reach deal through to 2027
Lincoln City have moved early to keep defender Adam Reach at the LNER Stadium, triggering a clause to extend his contract until the end of the 2026-27 season. Reach, 32, arrived in Lincoln in September on a one-year deal after leaving Wycombe and has quickly become a key figure in Michael Skubala’s promotion-chasing League One squad. The left-back has made 23 appearances for the Imps so far and has chipped in with four goals. The new agreement also contains a further appearance-related option that could add another 12 months to his stay in Lincoln. Speaking to the club’s website, Reach said he had hoped from the outset that his move to Lincolnshire would become a longer-term one. Sporting director Jez George praised Reach’s impact beyond matchdays, highlighting the standards he sets around the training ground and describing him as a “quiet leader” within the group. For City supporters, the extension brings welcome continuity as the Imps look to maintain momentum in the League One promotion picture, with Reach now committed to the club for at least the next 18 months and potentially beyond.
