Lincoln Crowds Gather for RAF Waddington’s City Parade Celebration

Hundreds of Lincoln residents took to the city streets to watch RAF Waddington personnel exercise their Freedom of the City. Approximately 100 RAF personnel, along with an RAF band, paraded from St Martin’s Square, through the High Street, and concluded at City Square. One of the highlights of the event was an impressive flypast performed by the celebrated Red Arrows. The Freedom of the City, recognising service and dedication, was first bestowed upon RAF Waddington in 1959. This story has been adapted from the original reporting by the BBC.
