Over the past year, these venues have attracted around 1.5 million visits from both local and international tourists, drawn by famous artefacts like the Magna Carta and vibrant events hosted at the castle.

The economic influence of these cultural venues is predicted to surge with the anticipated unveiling of the newly renovated Lincoln Museum next year, a project bolstered by a £1.7 million investment.

Despite this success, there are ongoing local demands for a dedicated tank museum to honour Lincoln’s historical links to tank manufacturing. Supporters propose collaborations with existing museums to locally exhibit tanks, broadening the city’s cultural appeal.
