McFly and Rick Astley Set to Dazzle at Lincoln Castle Next Summer

Pop-rock sensation McFly and enduring music icon Rick Astley are poised to headline the Live at Lincoln Castle series in the coming year. Attendees will be transported on a nostalgia trip with a series of celebrated chart hits performed in the vibrant corridors of Lincoln. Enthusiasts can mark their calendars for McFly’s performance on 14 June, with the added performances of rock band Twin Atlantic and pop ensemble Remember Monday. Rick Astley is scheduled to captivate audiences on 25 June, joined by indie pop group, The Lottery Winners. Councillor Natalie Oliver of Lincolnshire County Council has heralded these forthcoming events, commending the legendary status of both artists, and their potential to sway audiences.

McFly – consisting of band members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd – boasts a stellar career with seven chart-topping singles and over 10 million records sold. Audiences can expect renditions of fan favourites like ‘All About You’ and ‘Five Colours in Her Hair’. Rick Astley, immortalised globally for his enduring classic ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, continues to stir hearts with his timeless charm.

The collaboration between Lincolnshire County Council and entertainment giants Live Nation’s Cuffe & Taylor envisions a diverse musical landscape at the historic venue. Other notable performances planned for the castle include Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Deacon Blue, Tom Grennan, DJ Pete Tong and the return of Madness following a successful concert. Tickets for these highly anticipated gigs will be available from 10:00 GMT this coming Friday.
