Scunthorpe United Secure Forward Connor Smith in Permanent Deal

Scunthorpe United have finalised the acquisition of forward Connor Smith from Hamilton Academical for a fee which hasn’t been made public. Smith has been secured with a two-and-a-half year contract. Having previously played for the Iron on a loan basis during the 2023-24 season, Smith’s impressive record of scoring seven goals this season in his 28 appearances for the Scottish League One team left a strong impression. Andy Butler, the Manager, has expressed his satisfaction with this recent acquisition while speaking with BBC Radio Humberside, “It’s an excellent move for the club which demonstrates the stability and highlights our plans for the future.” This latest player addition is expected to improve Scunthorpe’s offensive ability, thereby aiding their current season’s objectives.
