Significant Water Pipe Upgrade to Commence in Old Leake with Road Closures

Church Road in the Lincolnshire village of Old Leake, near Boston, will undergo road closure from 5 to 23 January, as a part of an extensive water pipe replacement scheme. The project, announced by Anglian Water, is budgeted at £3.1 million and involves an upgrade of approximately 4.5 km (2.8 miles) of water plumbing. The work, which starts on the 5th January, is projected to be finished by the coming summer. Over the course of the project, the villagers could be faced with road closures and might discern transient traffic lights. Georgia Phillips, who specialises in customer experience at Anglian Water, relayed that this venture will assure the stability of water services for the inhabitants of Old Leake and the nearby regions for the foreseeable future.
