Domino’s Pizza Gets Green Light Despite Proximity to Immingham School

Title: Planned Domino’s Pizza Outlet Receives Approval Despite Close Location to Immingham School

Permission has been granted for a new Domino’s Pizza takeaway on Kennedy Way in Immingham, North East Lincolnshire, irrespective of its proximity to Oasis Academy. The planned location is roughly 175 yards away from the secondary school, which initially sparked off objections from Immingham Town Council. Normally, North East Lincolnshire Council declines applications for fast food outlets within a 400m radius of schools but provides exceptions for prospects within the town centres. Following the provision of additional information, the town council withdrew its earlier objections, permitting the planning committee to green-light the application. The takeaway is set to operate between 11:00 and 23:00, generating around 25 full-time-equivalent positions. Support for the venture has been voiced by council member Henry Hudson, with all agreeing to the decision.
